A private, high-trust community for board members and executives of listed companies worldwide.
It typically takes decades of executive experience to get onto a listed board. Once you're there, you can only serve on a few at a time. Then come the term limits. The age limits. The cooling-off periods. So even in the best-case scenario, you might accumulate 10 years of board experience across just two or three companies.

The same holds true for senior executives working directly with their boards. The average tenure at the very top is often just five years. Even if you perform well and secure another C-suite role, you might only spend a decade in these positions — across perhaps two companies. That’s not much time to truly master the art of working effectively with a board, navigating complex relationships, and safeguarding your position.
And with experience drawn from only a handful of company cultures, no one can honestly claim to know what "best practice" really looks like.
The result?
No one is truly experienced.

That’s why we built The Board Community: a private, high-trust space where listed board members, their senior executives, and those preparing for IPO can ask the real questions, share the uncomfortable truths, and grow without pretending. Because beneath the title and the blazer, we’re all just human. And even top decision-makers need a place to belong.

How peer groups work
You don’t just attend — you engage. You participate. Because we place you in carefully selected peer groups tailored to your current role:

Chairs: Non-executive group + Relevant committee group + Chair group
Non-Executives: Non-executive group + Relevant committee group
Employee elected: Employee elected + Relevant committee group
Senior executives: CEO group, CFO group, CHRO group, or General Counsel/Corporate Secretary group

You will never be placed in a group with members from boards you currently serve on. If you're eligible for multiple groups, we aim to assign you to groups of different individuals, broadening your exposure, offering fresh perspectives, and continuously expanding your network.

Backed by leading board practitioners
Our sessions are guided by experienced board professionals — Community Fellows — who generously volunteer their time. They not only co-facilitate sessions to keep them focused, relevant, and peer-driven, but also serve as a valuable sounding board to ensure The Board Community continues to stay relevant for its members.
Currently, these are our Community Fellows:
